As the days are getting shorter, and the nights are getting nippier, we know Winter is approaching. Autumn offers an array of fantastic seasonal vegetables and fruit, many of which we have tried to incorporate into our new menus. New to our menu is lamb rump – a great cut that packs a lot of flavour. Things to look out for – avocados, figs, pears and plums. On the veggie front – aubergines, courgettes (baby marrow), squashes, turnips and broads beans. During the coming weeks we’ll be launching the Recipe page on our website for some weekly recipes featuring the best of what’s around… give some a try.Poplars offers a unique bistro/grill menu, with modern European influences which pairs perfectly with crisp Sauvignon Blancs and Juicy Reds from the Durbanville valley. We change our menu quarterly, making sure we use as much locally sourced seasonal produce as possible.
